Timepiece Reminds Me of Him

Sometimes it’s the small things that mean the most.

Pocket watches remind me of my dad. We rode in a steam engine train on the Georgetown Loop Railway one time when my family came out to visit. The front of this mini pocket watch pendant has a steam engine train on it. It’s just an inexpensive trinket, but I like the memory it sparks. I almost passed on buying it, as I’ve passed on others before. Not this time!

In the infamous words of Forest Gump, “That’s all I have to say about that.” Most days I like to keep posts short – just like I prefer to read shorter posts. Anything more than five not-too-long paragraphs, and I generally start to lose interest.

What things spark your memories?

Darcy Elliott

I don't believe humans truly have a purpose. Our goal is to survive until we expire. Period. Joy is pleasurable and worrying is not. Balance in life is crucial; but if the scales must tip, may they tip on the side of joy. I’m just another human trying to survive. I blog because I can and because I enjoy it, not because it serves any purpose.
