Surviving work re-entry with extra coffee.
Yesterday wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be, but the rest of the week needs to be spent working hard to get a certain area of work caught up. I even cleared to work a little overtime on Saturday morning to focus solely on this area.
Coffee is my friend and is providing extra assistance this week!
Caffeine is considered a stimulant. It stimulates the body’s central nervous system, and boosts the brain’s production of a neurochemical known as dopamine, which controls the ability to focus and maintain concentration. This stimulation can cause a person to feel energized and not to feel the effects of fatigue as strongly.
I also chew a lot of Extra Peppermint Gum.
… chewing mint gum regularly may even affect your mental health. A study published in 2011 in “Clinical Practice and Epidemiology in Mental Health” found that chewing gum two times daily for 14 days helped study subjects reduce anxiety, depression, fatigue, mental fatigue and confusion after the two-week period was complete.
Focus, focus, focus! I will get through this week.
