Experiencing adventures in your own state is like taking mini vacations. Day trips abound in Colorado. One of my favorite day trips is to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park.

RMNP - Rocky Mountain National Park - Estes Park, Colorado

Getting out of the house and away from suburban life is good for my soul! The drive to Estes Park is around 90 minutes, which really isn’t that bad when I leave early in the morning. I should consider buying an annual park pass. It’s a lot cheaper than the annual state parks pass! Although, considering the price of gas and the distance, it probably evens out in the end. No matter! I want to be up there more often, and there’s no reason why I can’t. It just takes making a plan and sticking to it.

Goal:

Mountain adventure at least once monthly.

I don't believe humans truly have a purpose. Our goal is to survive until we expire. Period. Joy is pleasurable and worrying is not. Balance in life is crucial; but if the scales must tip, may they tip on the side of joy. I’m just another human trying to survive. I blog because I can and because I enjoy it, not because it serves any purpose.
