Easter [un]Celebration

Times change. People change. Family logistics change. This year, we finally broke tradition and are [un]celebrating Easter. Since there were only three of us home during the day, we decided on a whim to drive downtown and eat lunch at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.

There will be no ham this year. Nope! They’re so big that we can never finish leftovers, and precooked ham that has been cooked again, frozen, and then reheated once more … not so much a fan of it. Instead, we’re having St. Louis style BBQ baby back ribs for dinner.

We no longer attend a church and aren’t “religious”, and the kids are far beyond the Easter Bunny. I’m actually okay with this break in tradition.

Darcy Elliott

I don't believe humans truly have a purpose. Our goal is to survive until we expire. Period. Joy is pleasurable and worrying is not. Balance in life is crucial; but if the scales must tip, may they tip on the side of joy. I’m just another human trying to survive. I blog because I can and because I enjoy it, not because it serves any purpose.
