Taking Back Time

It feels good to escape into another place and time in the peacefulness of morning instead of jumping immediately into work. I did the latter for the past two weeks. I also jumped back into work in the evenings, so it was the first thing I did in the morning and the last thing I did at night. Ah, the perks and perils of working from home! So I’ve decided, at least for a while, to take back some of my time for peace of mind.

Since my job requires reading all day long, it may seem curious that I’d choose to read during this time I’m taking back. It’s sooooo not the same! To be able to read something that stimulates my imagination is such a welcome change of pace … trust me!

I don't believe humans truly have a purpose. Our goal is to survive until we expire. Period. Joy is pleasurable and worrying is not. Balance in life is crucial; but if the scales must tip, may they tip on the side of joy. I’m just another human trying to survive. I blog because I can and because I enjoy it, not because it serves any purpose.
