I just watched the new ABC Family movie, “Cyberbully“, and of course I cried. If you haven’t figured it out by now, I cry easily over movies. What you probably don’t know is that I was bullied in junior high school (that’s middle school to kids these days). This was before there was a cyber world, so I can only imagine how much worse it would have been. I know I’ve always had a problem putting other people’s needs before my own. I guess I could use a cop out like everyone else likes to try to do. I was a child of divorce, lived in several places, yadda yadda yadda. Yawn, snore, don’t want to bore. I was kind of a snot. That’s no reason to be bullied, though. There is noย excuse for bullying. The person who bullies is weak and feels the need to to do such things to inflate their own egos.

It all started after my friend’s German Shepherd bit me and after the insurance claim and legal crap I knew nothing about at the tender age of 11 led to their having to get rid of the dog. It was not his first offense. I had no idea! After that, my friend distanced herself from me. Fast forward to junior high (Wildcat mascot for those who know me from there), and there were remarks in the hallways made just loud enough for me to hear. The worst was when her friend, threatened me on the bus saying she was going to get off at my stop and kick my ass. I ran home in tears. Principals became involved at that point. It ended, thank goodness. I was never so relieved to switch schools after that! Thank you dad and mama Jan for moving across the boundries!

Nobody deserves to be bullied. It’s just dumb! Check out stopcyberbullying.org.

I don't believe humans truly have a purpose. Our goal is to survive until we expire. Period. Joy is pleasurable and worrying is not. Balance in life is crucial; but if the scales must tip, may they tip on the side of joy. Iโ€™m just another human trying to survive. I blog because I can and because I enjoy it, not because it serves any purpose.
