American Idol – Week 4 – Goodbye to Two

I wasn’t going to take the time to write a separate post since I touched on this in my last post, but I just can’t help it. I have things to say. The two girls who were voted off this week both had unique qualities to their voices. Pageant Pia may have near perfect pitch (nobody’s perfect), but there’s nothing special or interesting about her timbre. The only thing that makes her stand out a little is that she can belt a ballad.

So we’re down to three girls: Lauren, Haley, and Pia. Haley does have something interesting, but she’s not consistent with it. I’ve liked her from the beginning, and I’m still waiting for her to blow us away with something great.

I wouldn’t be upset at all to see Paul, Stefano, or Jacob leave next. Paul is definitely a character, but I can’t say that I’d want to hear him on the radio on a daily basis. I’m just over Stefano and still say he’s there for Jennifer to drool over. Jacob … is he or isn’t he? 😉 So much drama. Send him to Broadway. Save the Idol title for someone else.

I could stand hearing Casey and James both on the radio, but I still don’t know if this is a girl’s or a guy’s season. I can see Lauren being one of the last two standing, but I can’t pick a guy.

That’s all.

I don't believe humans truly have a purpose. Our goal is to survive until we expire. Period. Joy is pleasurable and worrying is not. Balance in life is crucial; but if the scales must tip, may they tip on the side of joy. I’m just another human trying to survive. I blog because I can and because I enjoy it, not because it serves any purpose.
