Picture Perfect Anniversary Dinner

When you think of a “picture perfect” anniversary dinner, what comes to mind? The very thing that will come to the minds of most romantics is the very thing that makes me uncomfortable. I don’t believe in perfection in the first place. Let me tell you about our anniversary dinner.

We hopped in the car on Friday without much of a plan. A couple options came to mind, and we ended up at Olive Garden. Table for two please? That would be a 30-45 minute wait. So we took our buzzer and stood right next to the bar waiting to pounce on the first available seating. We grabbed two bar stools less than ten minutes later and ordered our meal right there at the bar watching the end of the basketball game. Comfortable, casual, and fun! Imperfection is our perfection! No muss, no fuss – just go with the flow.

I don't believe humans truly have a purpose. Our goal is to survive until we expire. Period. Joy is pleasurable and worrying is not. Balance in life is crucial; but if the scales must tip, may they tip on the side of joy. I’m just another human trying to survive. I blog because I can and because I enjoy it, not because it serves any purpose.
