Finally!  I found the miniseries version of The Shining that was filmed at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park.  Jack Nicholson is a much better Jack Torrance, but the miniseries version of the Stephen King novel is more true to the entire storyline of the book.

I actually know the guy who worked as Steven Weber‘s stand-in.  David Harms, artist/actor, is a friend of ours!  And… not related to the movie at all, I also have a photographer friend, Stephanie Osborne, who shot a wedding at the Stanley.  See photos of that wedding here.

I’d like to be able to spend a weekend at the hotel with Greg sometime this summer so we can take a ghost tour of the hotel.  Once upon a time, I thought he was afraid of that sort of thing.  Now, he’s intrigued!

Maybe we should add some topiaries to our landscaping…

I don't believe humans truly have a purpose. Our goal is to survive until we expire. Period. Joy is pleasurable and worrying is not. Balance in life is crucial; but if the scales must tip, may they tip on the side of joy. I’m just another human trying to survive. I blog because I can and because I enjoy it, not because it serves any purpose.
