American Idol Says Goodbye (for now) to Didi

Gone Too Soon

Thanks to the popularity of the Vote for the Worst website, which I won’t even give the courtesy of a reciprocal link, another contestant has been sent home too soon.

Didi has a unique voice, and I think we should have heard more from her.  At least she will be joining the American Idol Tour (dates & cities yet to be released) and will be seen some more.  At this point, there’s not enough real talent for me to even desire seeing the concert this year.  There are only two or three people I would consider worth paying money to see.   They haven’t come to Denver the last couple of years anyway.

Next week’s theme:  The Beatles (from the John Lennon/Paul McCartney songbook only, which excludes any songs written & owned by George Harrison).  I didn’t hear mention of who will be their mentor next week, though.

I have to add that I did not like last night’s opening mix of Clash of the Titans & American Idol.  It looked like something a person with ADD on crack created.  Then again, I have absolutely no desire to see the movie either.  Not my cup o’ tea!

I don't believe humans truly have a purpose. Our goal is to survive until we expire. Period. Joy is pleasurable and worrying is not. Balance in life is crucial; but if the scales must tip, may they tip on the side of joy. I’m just another human trying to survive. I blog because I can and because I enjoy it, not because it serves any purpose.
